U.S. intelligence sources reported on Wednesday, April 10, that a large-scale Iranian attack on Israel is inevitable and expected in the coming days, according to Bloomberg.

Bloomberg reports that Iran is poised to attack governmental or military targets in Israel using drones or precision missiles, and it's only a matter of time. The report, based on anonymous sources, did not specify whether Iran would carry out the attack directly from Tehran or through extremist groups like Hezbollah.

Israel's Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, firmly announced on Wednesday that Israel will respond directly to any attack launched from Iranian territory. "If Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will react and attack in Iran," announced Katz.

Last week, Israel targeted the Iranian consulate in Syria, killing Ali Abed Akhsan Naim, the deputy commander of Hezbollah's missile unit. In retaliation, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, promised revenge. "When they attack the consulate, it is as if they have attacked our soil," he said in a speech marking the end of Ramadan. "The evil regime made a mistake and must be punished and it shall be"

President of the USA, Joe Biden, reassured: "As I told Prime Minister Netanyahu, our commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad. Let me say it again, ironclad. We’re gonna do all we can to protect Israel’s security."

The prospect of an approaching Iranian attack has raised widespread concern about a possible escalation in the Middle East conflict. Earlier on Wednesday, an Israeli air strike on the Gaza Strip killed three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
The unfolding situation underscores the tense atmosphere and the possible ramifications for stability in the region.
