The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is one of the two primary divisions of the Iranian armed forces, complementing the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army. Rezaji led this division from 1981 through 1997, before embarking on a political career that included parliamentary and presidential campaigns.

"The resistance axis will assume a more significant role in the future, and the Zionist regime will undoubtedly be defeated in this war," commented the former military leader, referring to the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian group, Hamas.

Rezaji also expressed his belief that this war would mark the end of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's tenure and "we are likely to witness the decline of the Zionist regime in upcoming years".

He further added, "The deeper Israel gets involved in the Gaza Strip, the more entangled it becomes".

Houthi Hijacks Ship: Israel Reacts Promptly

The situation in the Middle East continues to remain tense. On Sunday, the Israeli army confirmed the hijacking of the Galaxy Leader ship by the Yemeni political-military movement, the Houthi. The incident occurred near Yemen in the Southern Red Sea.

"This global-level incident involves a ship that left Turkey heading towards India with an international, non-Israeli crew," reported the armed forces based in Tel Aviv.

The ship, which sails under the Bahamian flag, is operated by Japan but is owned by a British company. Israeli businessman Rami Unger is a shareholder in this company. The office of the Israeli Prime Minister condemned this incident as "another act of Iranian terror".
