Iran slams US and UK for 'arbitrary' Yemen attacks, accuses them of deflecting from Gaza crisis

The Ansarullah movement representatives in Yemen provided reports early Friday morning about explosions in the cities of Sana, Hudaydah, Sa'ada, and Dhamar. In response, the United States announced that the attacks on Yemen were conducted by American and British forces using airplanes, ships, and submarines. This news prompted a reaction from Tehran, as reported by the Iranian semi-official news agency, the Mehr News Agency.

"These military attacks are a continuation of full support from the United States and England for war crimes by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and the oppressed citizens during the total siege of Gaza over the last hundred days," said the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani.

He also emphasized that these "arbitrary attacks will increase uncertainty and instability in the region."

"While the Zionist regime continues its attacks and war crimes in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in Palestine, the United States and England are trying to divert global attention from these crimes by providing support to the Zionist regime," further stressed the Iranian spokesman.

Kan'ani urged the international community to intervene in order to prevent the escalation of conflict in the region.
