General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the former chief commander of the Ukrainian army, confirmed the existence of a secret headquarters in Wiesbaden, a key element in cooperation with the USA. This headquarters is involved in planning military operations against Russia, conducting war games, and reporting arms needs.
"Last week, there was much talk about Wiesbaden. This headquarters truly became a secret weapon for us and our partners in planning operations and formulating requirements for their implementation," Zaluzhnyi wrote on Facebook.
In April 2022, a center was established to coordinate military aid deliveries to Ukraine, initially located in Stuttgart and later moved to Wiesbaden.
"We received various types of weapons and equipment, and with them came new challenges related to their delivery and repair," Zaluzhnyi emphasized.
He also explained why the creation of such a place was necessary.
"Over time, we realized, along with our partners, that we needed a joint operational headquarters to assess the demand for weapons and equipment," recalled Zaluzhnyi. He explained that this cooperation became particularly important in the summer of 2022 when doubts arose about the usefulness of certain types of weapons on the front line.
