A UK-based study was conducted among 3,800 people by experts. The results, which helped to create a list of professions with the highest cheating rates, were published in RANT Casino. The data might surprise you.

The Infamous List: Industries with Highest Infidelity Rates

Topping the list of professions with the highest infidelity rates in the UK are salespeople. An astonishing 14.5 percent of participants who work in this field admitted to infidelity. Surprisingly, the second-ranked profession is educators – including teachers, professors, and lecturers – with 13.7 percent admitting to infidelity.

The professions rounding out the top three are healthcare workers, at 12.5 percent. Following closely are people working in transport and logistics, with 9.8 percent admitting to infidelity. Fifth place, at 7.7 percent, are workers in the hospitality and gastronomy sector. Engineers and production workers follow (6.6 percent), then construction and real estate industry workers (5.5 percent), banking and accounting representatives (5.4 percent), IT professionals (4.6 percent), and finally, military personnel (4 percent).

Scientists also provided a list of professions with the least instances of infidelity. Amongst the professions with the lowest infidelity rates are scientists, pharmacists, businessmen, advisors, and managers, with only 0.1 percent admitting to having an affair. Law enforcement and security employees (0.2 percent), representatives of creative and design industries (0.4 percent), and media professionals (0.5 percent) are also less likely to be interested in infidelity.
