Pancakes are a delightful and flexible dish that can embody either sweet or savory notes. The traditional flour pancakes recipe is simple and quick to whip up. Introducing minor deviations can provide an original flavor to this dish.

When unconventional additions are used, pancakes may transform into an absolute delight for the taste buds. Once you get familiar with healthy and aromatic constituents, ordinary pancakes may no longer be attractive to you.

Healthy oat pancakes

Recently, an oat pancakes recipe captivated my attention. The mix consists of oat flakes, abundant in fiber, vitamin E, and mineral components such as magnesium, iron, and potassium. Thus, oat pancakes are considered a healthier alternative.

Oat pancakes with cottage cheese and raisins - recipe

  • 5.6 ounces of oat flakes,
  • 2.1 cups of milk,
  • 3 eggs,
  • 1 ounce of oil,
  • 0.1 ounce of sugar,
  • A pinch of salt,
  • 1.7 ounces of raisins,
  • 8.8 ounces of cottage cheese.

How to make pancakes?

  1. Soak the oat flakes in milk for a minimum of 2 hours.
  2. Mix in eggs, oil, sugar, and salt with the soaked flakes. Blend until it forms a consistent mixture.
  3. Pour a portion of the mixture onto a hot pan with non-stick coating and fry from both sides until golden brown.
  4. Combine cottage cheese with the egg, milk, sugar, and raisins.
  5. Smear the filling onto the pancakes and roll them up.
  6. Place the rolled pancakes into a heat-resistant dish and douse them with a cream sauce.
  7. Bake in an oven preheated to 355°F for approximately 20 minutes.

Serve warm, adorned with powdered sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Tempting our tastebuds with new culinary experiments is worth the effort. Oat pancakes introduce a wide spectrum of alteration prospects. Substitute cinnamon with cocoa, and rather than using sugar, try honey. The dish has immense versatility, thus the recipe can be modified freely.
