Indulge in effortless delight with no‑bake chocolate cake
This is one of those cakes that practically makes itself—and the result impresses absolutely everyone. The no-bake chocolate cake is the perfect choice for family gatherings, holidays, or whenever you crave something sweet but don't want to bother with the oven. The combination of a pudding base with dark chocolate, buttery cream, and salty caramel is a real hit.
There are desserts that don't require an oven, special skills, or long hours in the kitchen—and yet they disappear from the table in the blink of an eye. This is one of them. No-bake chocolate cake is what I make when I want to impress guests with something special without spending the whole day at the stove. Creamy, delicate, with a hint of salty caramel and a crunchy touch of ladyfingers—this is a combination that's hard to beat. And one thing I know for sure: no one stops at just one piece.
Recipe for no-bake chocolate cake
This cake has it all: smooth chocolate mass, sweet-salty caramel, and light ladyfingers that pleasantly contrast with the creamy interior. Most importantly, it's made without stress and without baking. Even if you don't have much kitchen experience, this cake always turns out well.
Ingredients:
For the base and decoration:
- 7 oz mini ladyfingers
For the chocolate mass:
- 3 1/2 cups of milk
- 2 chocolate pudding mixes without sugar
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 9 oz of softened butter
- 1 bar of dark chocolate
Additionally:
- 18 oz of caramel with a pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Dissolve the pudding mix and sugar in the milk and heat while stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Set aside to cool.
- Cream the butter until fluffy, then add the cooled pudding in portions, mixing continuously.
- Melt the chocolate in a water bath and slowly pour it into the cream, mixing until smooth.
- Line the bottom of the pan with ladyfingers. Spread half of the chocolate mass evenly over them.
- Add a layer of caramel (which you can slightly warm to spread more easily), and top with the other half of the chocolate cream.
- Decorate with the remaining ladyfingers and place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Can a no-bake cake be nutritious?
Although a no-bake chocolate cake may sound like a typical calorie indulgence, it doesn't have to be just "empty sweetness." Dark chocolate, especially if it has a high cocoa content (over 70%), provides polyphenols and magnesium that support brain function and improve mood. Meanwhile, pudding made with milk is a source of calcium, and a little salt in the caramel cuts through the sweetness and balances the flavor. This makes the dessert not only delicious but also a bit more "mindful"—perfect when you want to combine pleasure with a touch of wisdom.
