The secret behind the diet-friendly Napoleon pastry

A diet doesn't necessarily mean you have to deny yourself the enjoyment of sweets. A fit Napoleon is a great option for those who want to indulge in dessert without compromising their dietary goals. Using millet groats which are packed with valuable nutrients and crunchy biscuit, this dessert can satisfy the taste buds of even the most discerning gourmets.

A Fit Napoleon with millet - recipe

For a fit Napoleon with millet, gather the following ingredients:

  • 6.34 oz of biscuits,
  • 1 can of coconut milk,
  • 7.05 oz of millet,
  • 5 tablespoons of xylitol,
  • 16.91 fl oz of water,
  • Half a teaspoon of salt,
  • Vanilla flavoring.

Directions:

  1. First, rinse the millet and pour boiling water over it. Place it in a pot along with a can of coconut milk, a few drops of vanilla essence, and a bit of salt. Let it sit until the millet absorbs the liquid.
  2. Next, sweeten the cooled millet with xylitol and blend it into a smooth cream.
  3. Arrange biscuits at the bottom of your chosen baking tin before spreading the coconut-millet mixture on top. Follow up with another layer of biscuits. Wrap the pastry in foil and refrigerate overnight.
  4. After it's cooled, cut the pastry into smaller pieces. You can add a sprinkle of powdered sugar or coconut flakes before serving.

Alternatively, you can prepare this fit Napoleon in a mini version by putting biscuits and cream into smaller containers. This is an ideal treat for any occasion — bring it along for a picnic or pack it for work. Discover the joy of indulging in sweets, while still maintaining a healthy lifestyle and keeping an eye on your figure.
