On Monday, July 8, the day when the Russians carried out a massive attack on Ukrainian cities, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a two-day official visit to Moscow. Putin gave the guest a tour of his residence and took him for a ride in a golf cart. "It is a great honor to visit a friend's home," said the Prime Minister of India, as the "Washington Post" quoted.

Yesterday, shocking photos and videos surfaced in the media. The Russians shelled Ukrainian cities, killing 37 people and injuring 170 others.

Rockets fell, among other places, in Kyiv, where one of the largest children's hospitals treating children, including those with cancer, was damaged. Analyses indicate that the children's hospital Ohmatdyt in Kyiv was hit directly, the UN reported today.

Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day visit to Moscow (his first visit to Russia since the Kremlin started the war in Ukraine). The leaders are discussing, among other things, friendly Russian-Indian relations, current international issues, and regional policy.

Among the planned Monday attractions, among other things, were a horse-riding show and shared tea on the terrace. In the evening, Putin was supposed to host a private dinner for Modi.

While the world media described what was happening in Ukraine, the leaders were relaxing at the residence of the Russian dictator. They admired, among other things, the garden at the residence in Novo-Ogaryovo. In a video posted on, among others, the website indiatoday.in, Modi and Putin can be seen riding a golf cart.

India and Russia are walking shoulder-and-shoulder and infusing new energy into global prosperity. Any mention of Russia reminds every Indian of an ally that has been with us through good times and bad, as a trusted friend of India - said the Prime Minister of India in his speech. His words are quoted by the "Washington Post".

The "Washington Post," referring to reports in Russian state media, also quotes another statement by Modi. "It is a great honor to visit a friend's home," said the Prime Minister of India.
