President Biden received preliminary information about the incident at former President Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, the White House reported. It was most likely a failed assassination attempt on the former president and current candidate in the upcoming elections.

During Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, an incident occurred. In available online recordings, gunshots can be heard, and the former U.S. president is seen ducking and taking cover behind the podium. Security agents rushed to the stage, and they escorted off Trump.

President Joe Biden has been informed about the situation.

"President Biden received updates on the incident at Trump's rally from Kimberly Cheatle, Director of the United States Secret Service, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, and White House Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall," the AP agency reported.

A spokesperson for the Secret Service also commented on the incident, stating that "Trump is safe." "Former President Donald Trump is safe after the incident at his rally," said Anthony Guglielmi, Head of Communications for the Secret Service, on X.

"The incident occurred in the evening on July 13 at Trump's rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures, and the former president is safe. This is currently an active Secret Service investigation, and further information will be disclosed as it becomes available," he reported.

Steven Cheung, spokesperson for Donald Trump, also commented on the incident, stating that the former president "is doing well."

"President Trump thanks law enforcement and emergency services for their swift action during this disgraceful act. He is doing well and is being examined at a local medical facility. More details will be provided soon," said Cheung in a statement.
