Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that his recent spine surgery took a significantly wrong turn. The renowned singer is now almost immobilized and has openly described himself as "practically a cripple". Despite these health setbacks, the artist is still hopeful about arranging a farewell tour for his fervent fans.

Having confronted numerous health hurdles for several years, Osbourne's challenges persist. In 2003, an accident led to spinal issues for the singer, and in 2019, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, leading to ensuing bouts of depression.

Ozzy Osbourne's health concerns continue to escalate

"The ordeal has really knocked me off balance. The secondary operation ended up going drastically wrong, practically rendering me a cripple. I had thought that after the second and third surgeries, I'd be ready to perform," Ozzy was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

Ozzy disclosed his constant struggle with maintaining balance and impeded movement. At the most recent Rolling Stone gala in London, he was unable to personally accept the award, leading Sharon, his wife, to step in on his behalf.

From the artist's perspective, battling his disease is gradually becoming more draining, and comfort or relief seems increasingly elusive.

"I perhaps have a decade left at the very best, and when you age, your perception of time starts to speed up," he added.

A significant source of his depression is his inability to perform a farewell concert. Ozzy was compelled to cancel his concert tour earlier this year due to health reasons. Nonetheless, the Black Sabbath vocalist still holds onto the aspiration of delivering one final performance for his fans.

"One of the things that deeply upsets me is that I never had the opportunity to say goodbye or express my gratitude. That remains my goal and something I want to work towards. [...] I long to be in sufficient health to give just one performance, during which I can say: "Hello folks, thank you greatly for enriching my life", expressed the singer.

The prospect of the singer's full recovery remains uncertain. A previous surgical operation was meant to restore his full function, leading Osbourne to declare an end to his years of suffering. Soon after planning a farewell concert tour, however, he was ultimately forced to cancel the endeavor.
