While the US Open has been ongoing for a week, details of Iga Świątek's accommodations are only now coming to light. A few days ago, information surfaced online that the Pole would stay at The Plaza Hotel, confirmed by property representatives through an Instagram video.

The Polish representative was welcomed like a special guest. In the posted video, one of the hotel porters brings a bag with rackets to the Pole's room, which contains a large king-size bed and a spacious bathroom with gold-plated elements.

Upon arrival at The Plaza, expect nothing but aces - reads the description of the posted video.

The Plaza Hotel is considered one of the most popular hotels in the world. Its popularity was boosted long ago when a scene from the Christmas movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York was filmed in the hotel's lobby. The movie's main character encountered Donald Trump and asked him a question.

It is worth noting that staying at this hotel is very expensive. Prices in the most luxurious rooms range between four and six thousand dollars per night. The published recording with Iga Świątek shows several shots, including the main entrance and the spectacular chandelier in the aforementioned movie.

Iga Świątek's next match in the round of 16 of the US Open will be against Russian player Liudmila Samsonova. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, at no earlier than 5:00 PM ET.
