If you own a Samsung phone, you'll love this update
Good news for Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphone owners: the process to update your operating system and One UI skin has begun. Many users have already reported receiving notifications about the new software version being available.
Samsung is rolling out these updates for the Galaxy S22 series phones. It was announced that users of this series will have the chance to install the latest Android 14 version alongside the One UI 6.0 skin.
As is customary each year, the latest Android version (in this case, Android 14 with One UI 6.0) is initially made available for the most recent flagship models. Owners of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 got the chance to download this update last month. Now, it's the turn of last year's top models - the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22.
The update's availability notifications should automatically appear on your device's screen. Users can manually check the update's availability in their smartphone settings under the "Software update" tab if this doesn't occur. However, it's essential to remember that there might be delays in updates depending on individual mobile network providers' policies.
Android 14 with One UI 6.0 should be released this year on various other Samsung phone models. Previously, a list of models the Korean manufacturer had earmarked for this update was previously revealed online.
During the One UI 6.0 announcement, Samsung primarily focused on showcasing design changes and enhanced customization options intended to make the use of their devices even more effective and user-friendly. Besides, redesigns for the Quick Settings panel, the Home screen, and the weather widget were introduced. Plus, a number of upgrades were brought to the Camera, Gallery, and Calendar apps, as well as in the Samsung DeX mode designed for desktop work.
