Ideal breakfast time revealed: Experts say 7:11 AM is best
6:36 AM EDT, June 7, 2024
For a long time, information has circulated that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day—nutritionists emphasize this practically every turn. So, what is the best time to eat breakfast? Researchers have identified the ideal time.
Some people eat their first meal only around noon. Nutritionists condemn such practices, clearly emphasizing that this is a huge mistake. The body needs a solid dose of energy early on to start functioning well.
The timing of the meal is also critical. The most essential rule is that breakfast should be consumed no later than one hour after waking up.
Scientists from the University of Murcia in Spain have found that breakfast is best eaten at approximately 7:11 AM. The study primarily considered the benefits associated with losing excess weight.
What about the other meals? Researchers believe that lunch is best eaten around 12:38 PM, and sitting down for dinner around 6:14 PM is optimal.
Americans make a big mistake
Ohio State University observes that studies indicate at least 15% of Americans do not eat breakfast, and those who do eat their first meal at different times.
Statista shared surprising findings. In 2022, nearly 35 percent of survey respondents in the United States said they eat breakfast daily. Approximately 12% of the responders do so only a few times a month.
This is undoubtedly a big mistake. Scientists emphasize that the morning meal is extremely important for both our hormonal balance and metabolism.
