The Assembly of States Parties to the ICC announced that an external investigation is underway to guarantee an independent, impartial, and fair process. It called on all parties to offer their full cooperation.
Khan assured that despite the allegations, he continues to focus on conducting investigations related to alleged war crimes, including the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Deputy prosecutors will handle matters concerning him.
Khan denies the accusations, calls it a disinformation campaign
Khan denied allegations of misconduct reported by ICC bodies. He then called for an investigation into the matter. He emphasized that accusations of forcing an assistant into sexual acts are part of a disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting his office.
ICC judges are considering Khan's May request to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leaders.
