The separation of Gerard Piqué and Shakira has been a trending topic for many months in international media. Now, the topic is resurfacing as the footballer breaks his silence on the matter.
Gerard Piqué, the renowned Spanish footballer, has finally broken his silence about his separation from the Colombian singer, Shakira. This separation has been a discussion point for over a year and a half. Shakira has expressed her feelings in various ways, primarily through music, while Piqué remained mum until now.
In a conversation with Jordim Baste on the Catalan radio station 'Rac1', Piqué revealed his thoughts about his relationship with Shakira. He mentioned that "people don't even know ten percent of what truly happened".
He further added that much of the information circulating about their breakup is false. Piqué confessed that if he took seriously everything said about him, he would "lock himself in his apartment or jump from the sixth floor".
"The only way to survive all of this is simply to ignore these issues", he believes.
Piqué also emphasized that he is currently focusing on his partner Clara Chia, his professional interests, and preserving the privacy of his personal life.
He referred to all that transpired after the breakup with the Colombian singer as a "circus". However, he is also aware of the workings of the media today and understands that much of these exposures could not have been avoided.
It's worth noting that in November 2022 Piqué announced the end of his football career. For 14 years, he played for FC Barcelona, participating in 397 matches. With the "Pride of Catalonia", he achieved enormous success, both domestically and internationally.
