Baked chicken fillet with extras is a great idea for dinner. It is prepared very quickly, and it's delicious and nutritious. It has everything we expect from a good meal. The meat combined with baked cheese and mushrooms tastes divine.

I'm sure that few of us enjoy spending long hours at the gas stove watching over a dish to make sure it's cooking properly. Fortunately, there are recipes that don't require us to spend all day in the kitchen. For example, a baked chicken fillet with mushrooms can be prepared in literally a moment. I often make this dish myself. My mother-in-law really appreciated it and asked me for the recipe.

Chicken fillet with mushrooms and cheese - recipe

Required ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts,
  • 0.56 lbs of mushrooms,
  • 0.44 lbs of grated yellow cheese (or mozzarella),
  • an onion,
  • a carrot,
  • 5 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or olive oil,
  • a tablespoon of butter,
  • a teaspoon of sweet paprika,
  • a teaspoon of hot paprika,
  • a teaspoon of basil,
  • a teaspoon of thyme,
  • a teaspoon of oregano,
  • salt and pepper.

How to prepare:

  1. Start your work the day before. It will literally take you a few minutes and you will be able to go tend to your own things or just to a warm bed to get some sleep. Divide the fillet into smaller pieces. Sprinkle it with sweet and spicy paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic pressed through a press. Drizzle the whole thing with oil or olive oil. Put the meat in the refrigerator.
  2. Chop the mushrooms (for example, buttons) into thin slices. Wash and peel the carrot and onion, then dice them. Sauté them in hot butter. Also add the mushrooms. Season everything with salt and pepper. Stew the ingredients for a few minutes under a lid.
  3. Put the chicken in a heatproof dish and put it in an oven preheated to 392 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the meat for 8-10 minutes, after that time take it out and smear it with mayonnaise. Arrange the vegetables with the mushrooms on top, and sprinkle the whole thing with grated cheese. Finally, add herbs.
  4. Bake the fillet for another 30 minutes. Serve the dish with potatoes
