The Australian actress was married to Hugh Jackman for 27 years before they announced an unexpected separation in September 2023. Soon after, rumors surfaced that 56-year-old Jackman had become involved with 49-year-old Sutton Foster, with whom he starred in the musical "The Music Man" on Broadway. The pair was photographed holding hands during a dinner in Santa Monica, California.

According to sources quoted by the "Daily Mail," Furness breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing these photos. "Deborra-Lee feels a sense of relief to be honest with you. She has been plagued with suspicions. She was told it wasn’t true, and that they were nothing more than close friends who worked together. She trusted her intuition and her intuition was right. She finally feels at ease after getting confirmation that her fears and suspicions were warranted. She can now fully close this chapter and move on," the source claims.

How did Jackman and Foster's romance start?

Jackman and Foster acted together in "The Music Man" in 2020. In October 2023, Foster filed for divorce from Ted Griffin after 10 years of marriage. They have a seven-year-old daughter named Emily. Furness and Jackman announced the end of their marriage in September 2023, stating they were "experiencing changes" and decided to "separate to continue individual growth."

According to sources, Jackman and Foster grew close by sharing struggles in their marriages but did not start a romance until their previous relationships ended.

Furness met Jackman in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series Correlli. In an interview, she revealed that she has "big plans" for her career after her separation. She told Australia's The Daily Telegraph: "You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it but I think it is probably our greatest gift It is kind of exciting."
