Most often, people with gardens decide to grow tomatoes, as they can easily allocate a spot for a vegetable garden. Recently, it's also become common to grow them on balconies. However, you need to know how to do it properly.

Tomatoes are extremely demanding. They require not only the right soil but also, above all, the right growth conditions. They thrive best in a warm yet humid environment. This is why they are often grown in tunnels. Regular watering is also crucial.

To later be able to pick tomatoes from the bushes, we also need to properly fertilize them, for example, with manure or compost. This is especially important during the flowering and fruiting periods.

Do this, and the tomatoes won’t crack

Sometimes, tomatoes start to crack. This can be easily prevented. Just remove the leaves from the lower part of the plant. We should also consider removing its side shoots, which should be broken off just above the main shoot.

Don't throw away the removed parts. They're easy to root, allowing you to grow delicious tomatoes from them in the future.

If we remember all these actions, we will not only prevent the tomatoes from cracking so much but also minimize the risk of fungal diseases.
