Meta is rolling out another innovation in Facebook's Messenger. Messenger users are now able to use so-called notes. It appears that internet culture is going full circle and the next generation of internet users will get a chance to show their creativity in their statuses, or notes.

Some internet users might have noticed "bubbles" containing short texts appearing next to their friends' profile pictures. Notes that can be set in Messenger can hold up to 60 characters and display short messages visible to all friends of the person who set the note.

Messenger: Where you can express yourself when you're happy or sad

To utilize this latest Messenger feature, it's essential to have the most recent version of the app. It seems not everyone has access to use notes yet. Hence, the new feature might be rolled out in phases to different groups of users, with some needing to wait a few days before they can use it.

How to enable notes on Messenger?

Using notes in the Messenger app is straightforward. A bubble featuring a "+" symbol will emerge next to the profile picture. Once you click on it, you'll be redirected to a screen where you can create a note. This note can contain any text, including emojis, as long as it's within the 60-character limit.

The note will be displayed 24 hours from the moment it's activated. However, users have the option to remove it at any time within that 24-hour period.
