Fall and winter are the times of year when wet and freshly washed clothes do not dry as quickly as we would like. However, we know a clever way that will allow you to transform an ordinary washer into... a clothes dryer.

Have you ever wondered how to quickly dry clothes that haven't had time to dry? Unfortunately, at this time of year, it is not that simple. Apartments are often not warm enough for wet clothes to be ready to wear after just a few hours. We know how to simplify this issue somewhat in life.

How to transform a washing machine into a clothes dryer?

Having a clothes dryer is a luxury not everyone can afford. It's a rather expensive appliance and it takes up a lot of space, which is why it often finds itself at the end of the list of essential things in the home. We usually dry our clothes on radiators or on special laundry racks, also known as clothing racks.

However, if you have a standard drum washing machine in your bathroom, you can easily turn it into a clothes dryer. How to do it? Just throw in a wet item and a dry towel, and then set the washing machine to spin. Usually, after just one spin cycle, the clothing is completely dry.

A method for quick clothes drying

Why does this trick work at all? It turns out that a dry towel, while spinning, gradually drains excess water from wet clothes. As a result, the clothing dries quickly.

However, one should remember a specific rule: the spin cycle should be set at the highest speed. Only in this way, quick drying will be effective, and you will have a perfectly dry item in a blink of an eye.

We must note, however, not to experiment in this way, for example, with wool sweaters. Unfortunately, the fabric it's made out of won't withstand such powerful spinning. In the case of these types of products, it is better to lay them out, for instance, on clothing rack and allow them ample time to dry naturally.

The situation is similar also for delicate clothing, including those made from silk. Our beloved blouse or dress could be damaged, if we subjected them to such drastic measures.
