F-35 technological advantage

The F-35, also known as Lightning II, is one of the most technologically advanced fighters in the world. Its advantage over the competition stems primarily from the modern technologies integrated into one system. This aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art radars, electronic warfare systems, and can perform various combat, reconnaissance, and support missions.

In the video below, Lt. Col. Łukasz Treder explains the secrets of the F-35.

combat and support capabilities

The F-35 is also distinguished by its ability to operate in a network-centric combat space. Thanks to advanced sensors and communication systems, this fighter can collaborate with other air, sea, and land units, enabling effective combat operations. This is one of the key elements giving it an edge over more traditional fighter jets.

The author highlights the " decisive factor " in the comparison of U.S. and Russian equipment. Former Indian Air Force pilot Anil Chopra notes that protecting the fighter is indispensable today. He points out that the Russian Su-30 has some advantages due to its size, but the F-35 has superior weaponry and detection technology. "Currently, the American AIM-120 outperforms the Russian R-77 in range," explains Chopra. He adds that pilot skills will be the decisive factor in aerial battles.
