Houthi rebels launch bold attack on USS Harry Truman
Yemeni Houthi rebels attacked the American aircraft carrier, the USS Harry Truman, in the northern part of the Red Sea. The attack was carried out using two missiles and four drones. The group claims that the operation thwarted a planned U.S. attack on Yemen.
The Yemeni Houthi rebels, known as the "Ansar Allah" movement, conducted an attack on the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman, located in the northern part of the Red Sea, as reported by "Kommersant." According to information from the Russian service, the attack involved two cruise missiles and four drones.
A Houthi representative, Yahya Saria, claimed that the attack occurred when American armed forces were preparing for a major raid on Yemen. According to him, the rebels' operation thwarted the planned U.S. air force attack.
As reported by "Kommersant," three additional drones targeted a military facility in the city of Jaffa, and another drone was directed at a "key facility" of the Israeli army in Ashkelon.
The U.S. Central Command did not confirm the information about the attack on the aircraft carrier. The Israeli army also did not report any attacks on its military facilities.
Earlier, on December 28th, "Ansar Allah" announced a missile attack on the Israeli Nevatim airbase in the Negev Desert using a "Palestine-2" ballistic missile.
