Hamas has put hostage negotiations on hold in response to Israel's actions towards the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, as reported by Reuters. Simultaneously, in a Sunday interview with NBC, the Israeli Prime Minister hinted at a possible agreement for the release of some of the 239 hostages but did not elaborate on this.

A Palestinian official privy to the hostage talks was cited by the agency.

"At Gaza's largest hospital, 12 people, including two newborns, have passed away as a result of power cuts and dwindling medication supplies," the Palestinian Health Minister announced via Sky News.

According to one Palestinian doctor, the medical staff at the Al-Shifa hospital cannot move between buildings within the complex because, as he claimed, "drones fire at anyone on the move".

Earlier on Sunday, it was reported by the Hamas-controlled health ministry that one of the Al-Shifa buildings, the largest hospital in the region, had been "completely destroyed" by an Israeli airstrike.

Throughout the night from Saturday to Sunday, the city of Gaza was bombarded while the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) engaged in fierce battles with Hamas around the Al-Shifa hospital. Thousands of patients, refugees, and medical staff were stranded, grappling with power cuts and dwindling supplies, as reported by the Associated Press.

In a Sunday interview with NBC's news team, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted at a potential agreement for the release of some of the 239 hostages held by Hamas and other Gaza-based terrorist groups. However, he refrained from giving any specifics about this potential development.
