Dirty grout doesn't just look unsightly; it also collects dust and dirt. Unfortunately, cleaning them requires a lot of time. So, how can you make this task easier? With the methods we'll discuss, your kitchen and bathroom grout will appear brand new!

The best methods to clean grout

Regular cleaning is incredibly important. In spaces like kitchens and bathrooms, microbes can easily thrive. For this reason, ensure to devote enough time to thorough cleaning, paying close attention to the corners. Cleaning grout may be a tiresome task, but is necessary nonetheless. How do we begin?

Naturally, the market offers many "ready-made" solutions to help remove dirt. However, remember that homemade methods can often be equally effective, plus they could save you some money.

Home remedies for pristine grout

So, what helps clean grout? The first method is steam! The heat causes the dirt between the tiles to loosen, making it easy to wipe away with a regular cloth. But sometimes, steam may not be sufficient. What's next then?

Don't forget about the impressive properties of baking soda. Indeed, it's also our ally here. Just mix baking soda with hydrogen peroxide at the right proportions to create a paste. Apply the paste to the grout, and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then, scrub away the residue with a soft brush. If the grime is stubborn, leave the homemade cleaner on for up to 40 minutes. After that, any residue should be easy to remove.

And for floor grout?

Do you have light tiles and the grout is starting to look less than pleasing? Try a lemon! Lemon juice works wonders to clean dirt. Whether it's dust, grease, or rust, 20 minutes after applying lemon juice to the grout, your floor will have regained its shine.
