Home Alone house listed for $5.25M in Illinois

The iconic house from the movie "Home Alone" has been put up for sale, reports tmz.com. The property in Winnetka, near Chicago, Illinois, is priced at $5.25 million.
Millions of people watched this 1990 film. In the movie, eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is left home alone and faces two burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) who plan to rob the villa while the family is abroad for Christmas.
However, the thieves did not expect to have to deal with a resourceful boy and the traps he set.
The house from "Home Alone" for sale
The real property that "played" the McCallisters' house has just been put up for sale. The house was renovated in 2018 and expanded. The current owners have lived in it for the past 12 years, and they purchased the iconic house for $1.585 million.
The house has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, a cinema, and a gym. A few years ago, renting a home for one night through Airbnb was possible.
