Homan warns: Biden's border policy risks 9/11-style attack
Tom Homan, who is involved with deportations at the White House, argues that the United States could fall victim to a serious terrorist attack. According to Donald Trump's associate, this is the result of Joe Biden's immigration policy. His comments followed the high-profile attack in Colorado.
In the new Donald Trump administration, Tom Homan is responsible for deporting illegal immigrants to their countries of origin. He claims there is a risk that migrants who illegally crossed the southern border during Biden's administration could conduct an attack similar to September 11th. "It's coming," said Tom Homan on Fox News.
According to Homan, about 2 million migrants whom border patrol agents did not apprehend during the previous administration are more concerning than the drug smuggling or human trafficking that occurred at the US-Mexico border during Biden's single term, as he said on FOX News.
The official claims that the number of escaped migrants is alarming. He fears that some of them may be terrorists. "I'm convinced something's coming unless we can find them. It’s only a matter of time," he warned.
Homan accused the Biden administration of allowing migrants to pay to leave the country voluntarily. According to him, "they could have paid half of what they paid to cross the border." When they decided to leave the USA voluntarily, they could receive a free plane ticket, hotel accommodations, three meals a day, or free medical care.
"I've been doing this for 40 years. I've never seen anything like this. This is the biggest national security vulnerability this country has ever seen. And thanks to what they did in just four years, we'll be dealing with the consequences for the next decade," Homan told Fox News. The official added that the USA will struggle with Biden's policy for decades.
Tom Homan's remarks came a day after the attack in Boulder, Colorado, where Mohamed Sabry Soliman attacked demonstrators who opposed the oppression of Israeli citizens in the Gaza Strip with Molotov cocktails. During the attack, he was shouting "free Palestine" and claimed he wanted to kill Zionists because he hates them.
The Egyptian had applied for asylum and obtained a work permit in 2022, but his work visa expired in March of this year. This means he was in the USA illegally.
