The previously peaceful haven for the rich and famous is no longer a safe sanctuary. According to TMZ, the criminals broke into the Hanks' property by smashing a window in the guesthouse. Not even the alarm stopped them. Fortunately, they didn't make it to the main house. The famous acting couple has a huge plot of land with several properties.

The intruders were undeterred by the blaring alarm. What was stolen? According to TMZ's sources, Hanks and Wilson must still review their belongings to check what is missing.

Series of thefts in the haven of the rich and famous

As reported by TMZ, the recent incident at Tom Hanks' property is another in a series occurring in the Los Angeles area, which was previously a haven for the rich and famous. Recently, Sarah Hyland, known from the series "Modern Family," also fell victim to a burglary while she wasn't home. From American services, we have learned that the attackers tied up some of the burglary victims.

The actor and actress own several properties, including an estate in Pacific Palisades with five bedrooms and an ocean view valued at $26 million.

The 90s were the peak of Tom Hanks' success. In 1994, he starred in the film "Forrest Gump," for which he received his second Oscar. A year earlier, Hanks won his first statuette for his role in the film "Philadelphia," where he portrayed a lawyer fighting AIDS. The following years brought him roles in hits like "Cast Away," "You've Got Mail," and "Saving Private Ryan," solidifying his position as one of the best actors of his generation.
