"Harry Potter" is a gigantic brand—one of the biggest in pop culture franchises, not just staying afloat but remaining on top for over 20 years. Over these decades, all seven books have been adapted into films, the play "The Cursed Child" has been staged on Broadway and the West End, and the "Fantastic Beasts" series emerged as a spin-off from the original story, not to mention games, guides, textbooks, and other merchandise from the universe.

In 2023, the "Harry Potter" craze intensified, thanks to the game "Hogwarts Legacy," developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The title was released on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox. The action takes place in the 19th century, and players take on the role of a Hogwarts student (either male or female) with the ability to wield ancient magic, aiming to stop villains plotting chaos in the wizarding world.

The game's plot leaves something to be desired, but the atmosphere is incomparable. Exploring the world is a lot of fun, mainly due to the well-known locations and true magical aura: these are definitely the biggest advantages of "Hogwarts Legacy."

The game is still selling well—over 30 million copies have been purchased in the year since its release. Fans will surely be pleased to hear that although the title won't receive new DLC, only bonus content (between 10-15 hours of new gameplay), work is underway on a sequel—the second part of "Hogwarts Legacy."

The sequel to "Hogwarts Legacy" will be connected with the new "Harry Potter" series

A new Quidditch game, the seven-season "Harry Potter" series, with the first part set to be released on MAX as early as 2026, and the second part of "Hogwarts Legacy"—all Potterheads must be ecstatic. David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, said in an interview with "Variety" that the studio "places a high priority on this title."

The Warner Bros. president also revealed that in addition to "Hogwarts Legacy," several mobile games are also in production, which will connect to the MAX series. What does this mean in practice? The action will be moved forward by about 100 years and will likely take place during Harry's school days or maybe during his parents'—in the Marauders' era. This is certainly good news for those who didn’t enjoy battling goblins.
