His stomach hurt. The doctors were stunned, found 60 objects inside

35-year-old Kuldeep Singh ended up in a hospital in Punjab with unusual stomach problems and a high fever. It turned out that Singh had swallowed about 60 different objects. It's hard to list them all.

A man, who has been suffering from abdominal pain for two years, shocked doctors. "During the X-ray, we found in his stomach medallions, chains, bottle caps, screws, earphones, and many other objects," said Ajmer Singh Kalra, the director of Moga Medicity Hospital in Moga, Punjab.

According to doctors, the patient suffers from pica - a mental disorder characterized by compulsively swallowing items that are not food. This condition most frequently occurs among small children, pregnant women, and individuals in the autism spectrum, with disabilities or mental disorders, especially schizophrenia.

The patient, in addition to the persistent abdominal pain that has lasted for years, had a high fever. According to Jam Press, the patient's relatives were not aware of the problem.

"Because he ate sharp objects, serious wounds appeared in his stomach," said Kalry. Singh underwent a three-hour operation, led by surgeon Anup Handa and gastroenterologist Dr. Vishavnoor Kalra.

Despite a successful operation, the man remains in critical condition. "He is still connected to a respirator," said Kalra.
