High-stakes battle: Ukrainian drone strikes Russian soldier in unprecedented 656‑feet above-ground attack

Summit combat: man versus drone

Since the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, videos showcasing the use of drones in combat conditions can be found on X (formerly Twitter), yet footage of this kind hasn't been witnessed previously. A video uploaded on the "Swoboda" battalion of the 4th Quick Response Brigade "Rubież"'s channel depicts a drone's confrontation with Russian soldiers.

What made for an unusual sight was witnesssing the Russians on a tower 656 feet high. The entire sequence is remarkable, featuring both the soldier's escape attempt and the drone's pursuit.

Finally, the drone operator was able to neutralise the Russian soldiers as they were exchanging damaged equipment. Post strike, an explosive device in the drone was detonated, and the Russian soldiers didn't survive the encounter. They stood no chance. It is worth noting, however, the apparent determination of one soldier in his escape attempt...
