Hero has fallen? Elon Musk has crossed another line
There is no trace of Elon Musk's stance at the start of the war in Ukraine. The billionaire is now making decisions that strike at Kyiv. Recently, he even mocked Volodymyr Zelensky's efforts to arm his country's military on the X portal, which outraged Ukrainians.

Shortly after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Elon Musk actively joined in helping the attacked country. The billionaire, just a few days after the invasion, made the Starlink satellite system available to the Ukrainian military. The soldiers used it to eliminate Russian targets.
Elon Musk changed his stance
The Kremlin, which had attacked Ukraine's critical infrastructure, among other things, to hinder its ability to defend, disliked this. Representatives of the Russian regime initially threatened in a veiled way that they would attack its satellites (although Dmitry Rogozin lost his position as head of Roscosmos for threats), but later they were supposed to have contacted the billionaire to encourage him to give up his support.
Shortly after American media reported on a conversation between Elon Musk and Vladimir Putin, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX clearly changed his approach. In September 2022, he blocked Ukraine's ability to expand access to the Starlink system, thereby halting the plans for a Ukrainian military counteroffensive.
A month later, however, he stated that he would no longer be able to provide the system for free. The Pentagon got involved in the matter, promising to find a solution if Elon Musk cuts off Ukraine from Starlinks, which ultimately partially happened.
Musk laughs at Zelensky. Ukrainians outraged
Now, the billionaire outright mocked the Ukrainian president's efforts to secure additional military support from the world. On his account on the X platform, he shared a popular meme on which he superimposed the face of Volodymyr Zelensky and captioned it: "when you haven't asked for billions of dollars worth of help for five minutes".
The Ukrainians are not hiding their outrage at his actions. "So you bought social media to oppress a nation that is dying for freedom. Visionary" – wrote one of them, referring to the purchase of Twitter.
Over the past few weeks, he has pushed himself to the forefront in promoting the idea of cutting off military aid to Ukraine. It is sad because he is a former hero of Ukraine. He has now become a cybercriminal and normalizes such an approach on this platform (on service X - editor's note) - another user born in Kyiv posts.
Another, however, bounced the ball and used the same meme to suggest that Elon Musk is promoting Russian propaganda:
"It's disgusting. This morning, the Russians attacked Kharkiv (the second largest city in Ukraine), the city in which I live, using five S-300 missiles, and then I go on Twitter and see this. Shame on you, Elon Musk! This is said by a person whose life is terrorized with your support" - wrote Iryna Voiczuk, a Ukrainian journalist and correspondent.
