Newcastle United's surprising loss to one of the Premier League's weaker teams resulted in a heated situation. The unrest took place when players approached their supporters to thank them post-game.

The 12th game of the Premier League ended in an upset. Newcastle United, a team competing for European cups, lost 0:2 on unfamiliar turf to AFC Bournemouth. This result came as quite a surprise, given that the victorious team had only accumulated six points prior to this.

Following the match, Newcastle players ventured into the visitor's sector with the intention of expressing gratitude to their fans for their support. Disappointed by the team's performance, some fans began to verbally express their dissatisfaction.

One disgruntled fan certainly did not anticipate a rebuttal. A fuming Kieran Trippier engaged with the fan, resulting in a heated exchange between him and the "Magpies" supporter.

"We're not giving our all? How many injuries do we have? How many?" the agitated footballer responded.

The heated exchange could have escalated, but was mitigated by other Newcastle players' timely intervention. The other players managed to pull Trippier away, settling the situation to an extent. The defender later addressed the confrontation in a media interview.

"Fans are upset, and that's only natural. They've travelled great distances and spent a hefty amount to witness our play. I insisted to one of the fans that we gave it our all. There's no reason to panic; we're still in a good league position and potentially advancing to the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. We lost, we apologize for that, but what's crucial is that we gave our all," Trippier stated post-match.

Following Saturday's defeat, Newcastle United now sits at the seventh place in the Premier League. The top four teams this season are set to advance to the Champions League.
