He was having a dinner with his family. He wasn't aware what was happening in his house

Radamel Falcao will not remember last weekend fondly. When the soccer player and his family were away from home, a group of unknown burglars broke into his luxurious Madrid villa, robbing the interior of the property. This is not the first such case in Spain - local media regularly report on thefts where soccer stars fall victim.

Radamel Falcao has been a player for Rayo Vallecano since 2021. Last Saturday, the Colombian forward saved a point for his team in the confrontation against Mallorca, scoring a penalty goal in overtime. The game ended with a 2:2 score, and Falcao decided to celebrate the successful performance with a dinner in town with family.

This fact was exploited by thieves. As reported by "El Mundo", on the same day around 5:00 PM Eastern Time, a group of unknown perpetrators dressed in gloves and hooded sweatshirts broke into Falcao's luxurious residence located in the prestigious Moncloa district of Madrid.

The Spanish newspaper reports that the area where the Colombian striker lives is equipped with surveillance cameras and private security. Nevertheless, burglars managed to break into the villa.

"El Mundo" reports that as a result of the thieves' actions, a designer handbag, several watches, and some jewelry were stolen from Falcao's residence. The losses would probably have been greater, however, the burglars were caught red-handed by the housekeeper employed by the Colombian footballer's family.

The unexpected appearance of the woman scared off the burglars, who fled without causing any harm to the hostess.

As stated by Spanish media, Falcao has already reported the theft to the police, and officers are conducting an investigation into the matter. The identity of the burglars is not known at this time.

This is not the only high-profile theft that has recently shook public opinion in Spain. On September 20, masked burglars broke into Sergio Ramos' residence at the La Alegria farm in Bollullos de la Mitacion. The Spanish soccer player was participating in a Champions League match between his Sevilla and Lens, which ended with a score of 1:1. At that time, four children were at the property with their caretaker.

Thieves plundered the house, taking luxury watches, jewelry, designer clothing, and cash. Fortunately, no member of the Ramos family was harmed. In the past, other soccer players in Spain, such as Rodrygo, Benzema, Piqué, Jordi Alba, or Alvaro Morata, have also fallen victim to burglars.
