The Vice President of the United States and Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election, Kamala Harris, has released a detailed report on her health status. She is now accusing Donald Trump of a lack of transparency on this matter, pointing to nearly a 20-year age difference between them.

"To me, it's clear that he and his team don't want the nation to truly see whether he is indeed fit to be President of the United States," stated Kamala Harris, running as the Democratic candidate, in a statement.

Trump's health under Harris's scrutiny

The White House released a detailed report on Saturday regarding the health status of the 59-year-old presidential candidate, Kamala Harris. The document shows that after being examined by U.S. Army Colonel Dr. Joshua Simmons, she enjoys "excellent health," which confirms her adequate mental resilience and physical ability to function as president.

This report sparked discussions about Donald Trump's health, who is 78 years old and still competing for the highest office in the country.

Harris accused Trump of a lack of transparency regarding his health status after publishing her own medical report, pointing to nearly a 20-year age difference between the candidates for the new U.S. president, AFP reported on Sunday.

AFP notes that by raising this issue, Harris is likely hoping to revive public debate concerning the health condition of the former president.

Trump's team responds

Donald Trump's team quickly responded to these accusations. Associates of the former president stated that Kamala Harris has a significantly lighter campaign schedule than her opponent, which they believe is proof that she lacks the "stamina of a president."

Steven Cheung, Trump's campaign communication director, pointed out that Trump had already published several reports confirming his "excellent health."

However, as AFP notes, all of these documents relate to the period before September 2023. The upcoming U.S. presidential elections are scheduled for November 5th, which means the health of the candidates may be raised repeatedly in the coming weeks.
