Considering this, a steward who manages a TikTok account under the pseudonym @ichbinvin has offered some helpful advice.

The topic arose when one of @ichbinvin's followers asked for advice regarding parents fearfully preparing for their child’s first flight.

The first thing you need to do is accept that your child might cry during the flight. The only thing more frustrating than a child screaming and crying on the airplane is someone incessantly complaining about it. Having heard it so much, I'm frankly immune to the noise of crying children. People who fly frequently likely feel the same. I'd suggest arriving at the airport with plenty of extra time so that if security needs to inspect your strollers, bags and everything else, you won't stress about being delayed," he advised.

He also encouraged arriving early for check-in as this provides ample time to label the child's stroller and other luggage efficiently, thus hastening this process stage.

The steward also advises parents to bring all necessary items to keep their child entertained, including snacks and water. He explained that the cabin crew may not always be able to provide these items.

Additionally, he suggests feeding a small child only at the onset of landing. The act of swallowing can help prevent the child’s eardrums from experiencing discomfort due to the change in altitude.

According to this airline staff member, a little crying onboard is normal and tolerable as long as parents prevent their child from causing disturbances around the airplane.
