Cakes for Halloween

Spider Web Brownie

One of the desserts you can serve for Halloween is spider web brownie. This dark chocolate cake, enhanced with a sweet spider web, will enchant every guest.

You will need a few basic ingredients to prepare it: 7 oz of butter, 5 oz of milk chocolate, 5 oz of dark chocolate, 3 eggs, 7 oz of sugar, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. For decoration, use marshmallows or icing.

To prepare the brownie, start by melting the butter and chocolate in a saucepan. Then, mix the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl, to which you later add the melted chocolate and butter. Add sifted flour and baking powder to the mixture, then pour the batter into a pan and bake at 320 degrees Fahrenheit for about 40 minutes.

When the cake is ready and completely cooled, proceed to the most important step—decoration. Melt marshmallows until they are pliable and can be formed into a spider web, then arrange on the brownie. You can also create a spider web with icing. Complete the look with candy eyes that will make the dessert look truly scary. Spider web brownie will surely be a hit at any Halloween party.

Pumpkin Tart

Pumpkin tart is one of the most classic desserts you can find on Halloween. It's a combination of a flaky crust with a creamy, intensely aromatic pumpkin filling.

To prepare a pumpkin tart, mix 10.5 oz of all-purpose flour with 8.8 oz of butter until a crumble forms. Add the rest of the flour, half a teaspoon of salt, and 2.5 oz of very cold water. Knead the dough, wrap it in foil, and cool in the refrigerator for 2 hours. After that, roll out the dough, line a tart pan, cover with foil, weigh it down, and bake for 20 minutes at 390 degrees. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes, then cool.

Mix chilled pumpkin purée (17.6 oz) with mascarpone cheese (9.5 oz), butter (1.4 oz), sugar (3.5 oz), pumpkin spice (1 teaspoon), and half a teaspoon of salt. Add 3 eggs and mix well. Pour the mixture into the tart crust and bake at 285 degrees Fahrenheit for 50–55 minutes. Cool the tart, then refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream, caramelized nuts, or powdered sugar.

Snacks for Halloween

Pumpkin Meat Snacks

Pumpkin meat snacks are a combination of crispy puff pastry and aromatic meat filling.

Start by preparing a filling of ground meat with bell pepper, onion, garlic, curry, salt, and pepper. Place the meat mixture on puff pastry cut into pumpkin shapes, then cover with additional pastry pieces, cutting out spaces for eyes, nose, and mouth. Brush with egg yolk and bake the pumpkins in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes.

Ready pumpkin snacks can be served with your favorite sauce and can be enjoyed both warm and cold. They perfectly fit the Halloween atmosphere, impressing not only with taste but also appearance.

Puff Pastry Mummies

Halloween is a time for fun with deliciously spooky snacks. One of the simplest and most effective recipes is puff pastry mummies, which will delight both children and adults. These simple, tasty, and inexpensive snacks will be an excellent addition to a horror movie night.

Preparing these treats takes very little time and requires only a few ingredients: sausages, puff pastry, ketchup, and candy eyes. You can cut the sausages in half or leave them whole, then wrap them in strips of puff pastry, leaving space for the eyes. Bake the ready mummies for about 20 minutes, and finally decorate them with eyes and ketchup.
