Halle Berry seeks sole custody, citing violations by Olivier Martinez
Halle Berry has filed for sole custody of her 10-year-old son Maceo, whose father is Olivier Martinez. Court documents obtained by Fox News indicate that Berry made this decision "in light of Respondent’s continued violations of Court Orders, unilateral decision making, and interference with the parties’ minor child’s best interests" by Martinez.

Martinez is accused of interfering with Maceo's educational and psychological progress, using sports as leverage in custody negotiations, ignoring his son's therapeutic needs, and violating care time arrangements. Berry claims that such actions negatively affected Maceo's health and well-being and his relationship with his mother.
The court petition also points to unauthorized discussions by Martinez about the court battle in the presence of their son, which was prohibited in the original divorce agreement.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez
Berry and Martinez fell in love on the set of the movie "Dark Tide" in 2012, and a year later, they became Maceo's parents. Unfortunately, in 2015, they officially announced their split. It wasn't until eight years later that they settled their formal matters. They signed an agreement stipulating that both parents have equal rights to their son and would equally decide on major issues concerning his future, primarily education. Due to income disparities, Halle Berry agreed to cover the tuition at their son's private school and his health expenses on her own.
According to the agreement, Berry is required to pay Martinez nearly $8,000 in monthly child support and cover the costs of their son's private schooling, extracurricular activities, and healthcare. Both are also obligated to avoid making negative remarks about each other in Maceo's presence.
Halle Berry's latest movie is the Netflix film The Union, in which she starred alongside Mark Wahlberg.
