According to data published by the USHAS news agency in 2022, as many as 1.25 million people visited Turkey for plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures. The most popular are liposuction, nose correction, breast and lip augmentation, and hair transplants.

The procedures are relatively inexpensive compared to other countries in Europe. Clinics offer numerous amenities, such as assistance in arranging flights or accommodation in a luxurious hotel. Jordan Morris, a 23-year-old Irishman, decided to have a hair transplant at one of the Turkish clinics. In a post he published, he showed how he looked a year after the procedure.

Started balding as a child

Jordan Morris began balding at a very young age. He had been considering a hair transplant for years. He decided on the procedure in 2022.

"I’ve been suffering hair loss since a young age and have always thought about going to Turkey for a hair transplant. I’ve finally took action and it was the best decision I have ever made to stop my hair loss," he wrote under the video he shared.

On his TikTok, he detailed his entire stay in Turkey. He showed his flight, five-star hotel, and the hair transplant process in his chosen clinic. He primarily guided himself by the price and the number of positive reviews. The video was viewed over 2 million times.

Before the procedure, he received 30 injections in his head.

"So they could extract hair follicles from the donor area at the back of my head. Then I received another 20 injections in the front part of my head, so the doctor could make the incisions painlessly," he explained.

As he admitted later in the video, "it was the worst pain he had ever felt in his life." The stay in Turkey cost him 4,000 pounds, which translates to almost $5,000. Despite the post-procedural pain, he does not regret his decision.

In a recently published post, he showed how he looked two years after the procedure. "Healthier, happier, with hair (transplanted in Turkey)," he wrote. He has gained not only thick hair but also a new physique. "I have come a long way," he emphasizes.

"Good job," "I thought it was a Calvin Klein ad," "You look great," "I am proud of you" - we read in the comments.
