Shanae Davis, a 39-year-old mother from Florida, was arrested after a 9mm Glock 43 was found in her 2-year-old son's lunch room. The woman faces several charges.

The whole thing took place in Riviera Beach, Florida. A teacher at Jackson's Daycare Center alerted police after opening a two-year-old's lunchbox at school and finding a gun inside. Now, Davis faces allegations of allowing a minor to obtain a firearm and child neglect.

"It's scary. I mean, you know when I'm sending my kid to school thinking that he's going to be safe? I mean, are they? I don't know," said Stephenne Warembourg, one of the shocked parents of Jackson's Daycare Center students, in an interview with a WPEC media outlet.

According to police findings quoted by Fox News, the woman admitted to being the owner of the weapon. She also added that she normally keeps the gun in her car and brought it home after a wave of burglaries in the area. When Davis moved the gun from the car to her apartment, she hid it in the lunchbox and claimed she forgot to take it out later.

The woman was released from custody on March 15 after posting bail, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. However, she still faces the above-mentioned charges requested by the prosecutor's office.
