Google is currently experimenting with a new feature named "Simple Search", which largely restores the traditional way of presenting results.

The developers at Google have been intensifying their efforts to reduce the response time to queries entered on the search engine. As a result, we frequently see tiles containing crucial information or bubbles with specific definitions preceding the list of links. The displayed content also varies depending on the time and date.

These modifications have not found favor with everyone, and that's precisely why Google is developing the "simple search" feature. This function simplifies the search results page, returning it to a format similar to what users experienced a few years ago. Daniel Sullivan on platform X (previously Twitter) highlighted that the results page, devoid of SGE (Search Generative Experience, i.e., additional generated elements), appears after clicking.

Additional sources suggest that the "Simple Search" function could also modify its operation based on the search input. For instance, if the objective is to locate a particular product, the primary information displayed might be store offers. In simpler terms, this feature aims to expedite and simplify the process of obtaining answers.

Undergoing testing

This feature is currently being tested. It has been introduced in the English version of the Google search engine as "Simple search". The activation button is located just below the password field - in the same location as the "Images" or "News" options. It's still uncertain when or if this feature will be permanently rolled out, and if so, whether it will extend to countries like Poland.
