The launch of the Pixel 8 series is scheduled for October 4th, but almost a week before this event, Google published over a 1.5-minute advertisement.

This is another commercial from the #BestPhonesForever series, styled as a conversation between Pixel and iPhone. Apple's smartphone expresses the fear that Google's premiere will prove to be "more innovative", since it itself has only a "different mute button, a >>more dynamic island<< and a new charging port".

According to the advertisement, iPhone 15 Pro also fears comparisons of the camera and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Will the Pixel 8 Pro - according to Google's predictions - actually attract "all kinds of attention", and does the iPhone manufacturer have reason to worry? Well, according to data from the analysis firm IDC, in 2022 Apple was the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, and too few Pixels were sold for Google to be included in the report at all.

So what, Google? Eighth time's the charm?
