Russia accuses the US of supporting terrorism through aid to Ukraine

Apty Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat unit in Chechnya and a senior official in the Russian Ministry of Defense, has claimed that the United States, by providing military assistance to Ukraine, is effectively sponsoring terrorist activity. This accusation centers on the belief that Kyiv might target the Crimean Bridge with ATACMS missiles, as reported by TASS, the Russian state news agency. Alaudinov highlighted that most of the financial aid remains in America, with a significant portion, including ATACMS and other arms, being supplied to Ukraine purportedly as aid. "In essence, it constitutes financing terrorist activities. There's a real possibility these missiles will be used for terrorist attacks on Russian soil, including possible strikes on the Crimean Bridge," he added.

Zelensky highlights Russian interference with upcoming global peace summit

"Russia intends to disrupt the global peace summit scheduled for June in Switzerland," disclosed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday. The summit aims to gather world leaders, with invitations for the inaugural event in Switzerland expected to reach 80-100 countries. Zelensky warned that Russia, not partaking in the summit, is plotting its disruption. "We have reliable intelligence - specific information - showing that Russia aims not only to obstruct the Peace Summit but has laid out a detailed plan to diminish participation and prolong the absence of peace," he shared during an ambassadorial meeting.

MEP's unforeseen gesture of peace during a speech.

"Slovak MEP Miroslav Radacovsky made a symbolic call for peace in Europe by releasing a dove he had concealed in his bag during his plenary speech." The bird briefly flew before landing on the podium behind him. As Radacovsky attempted to recapture the dove, it flew off. "In today's final session, I underscored Europe's need for peace - in Ukraine, across the continent, and globally. The emotional and positive reaction reinforces our collective longing for peace. May this dove of peace soar over Europe," he later reflected in a Facebook post.
