Gigi Hadid commented on social media attacks on Israel. The supermodel of Palestinian-Dutch roots did not hide her disappointment with the situation.

Gigi Hadid is one of the most well-known American models. Although the 28-year-old was born and raised in Los Angeles, she has Palestinian-Dutch roots. Her mother, Yolanda, is a Dutch model. Meanwhile, Gigi's father is an American developer named Mohamed Hadid, who is originally from Palestine, which is why their family is particularly affected by the conflict between Israel and Palestine that has been ongoing for many years.

Gigi Hadid has more than once publicly shown that she is proud of her Palestinian roots. This time the model used social media to comment on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Hamas' attacks on Israel, which have occurred in recent days.

I am with all those affected by this unjustified tragedy. (...) I feel a responsibility towards my Jewish friends and I hope that no Palestinian wishes harm upon any Jewish individuals. Terrorizing innocent people is inconsistent with the "Free Palestine" movement, and bodes nothing good for it — Hadid wrote in a post on Instagram.

As reported by the media, over 1500 people have already died on both sides of the conflict in recent days, and several thousand are injured. The 28-year-old decided to use her reach to bring the situation closer to her observers and express sympathy for all people suffering due to the conflict.

This drives a painful, decades-long cycle of revenge (with innocent civilians falling victim -- both Palestinians and Israelis) and helps to perpetuate the false belief that supporting Palestine is tantamount to being anti-Semitic.Today I extend my condolences to my loved ones, both Palestinians and Jews, I send them my love and strength -- wherever and whoever you are - she admitted.

Every person deserves basic rights, treatment, and safety; regardless of nationality, religion, ethnicity, or birthplace. I know that my words will never suffice and heal the deep wounds of so many people, but I always pray for the safety of innocent beings - the model concluded.
