Is Donald Trump's presidency discouraging some tourists from visiting the USA? This seems to be the conclusion of a survey published on Tuesday by the Forsa Institute for German television RTL/ntv. 43 percent of respondents admitted that they would only consider a trip to the USA once Donald Trump is no longer in power. Additionally, 14 percent generally rule out vacationing in the United States altogether.

Meanwhile, 41 percent of respondents stated that they would currently choose to vacation in the USA.

Greatest reluctance among Green Party supporters

According to the survey, the greatest reluctance to travel to the United States is seen among supporters of the Green Party; only 14 percent of them would currently choose to visit the country, while 76 percent reject this possibility. Additionally, the majority of supporters of the Social Democratic SPD and the Christian Democratic CDU/CSU would prefer not to travel to the United States during Trump's administration.

It's quite different among supporters of the right-wing populist AfD: 75 percent would like to go to the USA even during Donald Trump's presidency, and only seven percent wouldn't.

Those who have already spent vacations in the USA are especially reserved. 56 percent of them would not go there again at present.

Recently, the German Foreign Ministry changed its recommendations regarding trips to the USA and noted the risks involved during entry into the country and the possibility of deportation.
