German support for Israel. They need these drones
The German authorities assure that they stand with Israel. As proof of this, they will provide two Heron TP combat drones for Israel's use. This is in response to a request from Israel.

As reported by Reuters, Germany has agreed to allow Israel to use two Heron TP combat drones to counter-attack the Islamist organization Hamas. Specifically, these are German military machines already stationed in Israel for the training of German pilots. As the tests have been put on hold, the drones remain grounded – Israel therefore asked for the possibility of their use, and Germany gave its consent.
Heron TP drones at the disposal of Israel
The Israeli armed forces are interested in the potential use of Heron TP drones, as these could allow for precise shelling of the Gaza Strip. Interestingly, these are actually produced in Israel, and are locally known as IAI Eitan. These are unmanned flying machines, whose primary goals are: reconnaissance and identification, as well as establishing fire positions and conducting attacks.
Presented in 2007, the Heron TP drones represent the MALE (Medium Altitude, Long Endurance) category. They are relatively large - their wings have a span of 85 feet, and the fuselage length is 46 feet. One of the biggest advantages of these machines is the ability to carry a load weighing 5953 pounds (while the maximum takeoff weight is close to 12566 pounds).
The Heron TP drones also offer automatic takeoff and landing, and they're equipped with SATCOM satellite communication, which allows for operations over long distances - over 930 miles.
Thanks to the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6-67A combustion engine with a power of 1200 horsepower, Heron TP drones can accelerate up to 253 mph and reach an operational ceiling of 45,932 feet. On the other hand, the maximum flight time exceeds 30 hours.
Assistance for Israel from Europe and the USA
In addition to providing drones, the German authorities were also asked to support in the form of ammunition for navy ships. A decision on this matter has not yet been made. The United States, on the other hand, has already decided on military support for Israel - weapons and ammunition are already on the way.
