Gaza conflict escalates: Israeli airstrikes kill 32 amid peace talks
Due to Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, at least 32 people have been killed. The conflict continues to escalate despite international calls for peace. A vehicle belonging to the charity organization World Central Kitchen was also attacked.
According to local medical sources, at least 32 individuals have perished due to Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army stated that one of the attacks successfully eliminated a terrorist responsible for the assault on October 7, 2023.
In Gaza, seven people lost their lives in these airstrikes. A similar tragic incident occurred in the town of Jabalia, where a member of the local civil defense was killed. Over the more than a year of conflict in the Gaza Strip, a total of 88 rescue workers have lost their lives.
Attack on a vehicle in Khan Yunis
In the southern part of the Strip, near a food aid distribution point in Khan Yunis, Israeli aircraft struck a vehicle, resulting in the deaths of nine people. According to Hamas sources, the vehicle was used by personnel managing the distribution of humanitarian aid.
The Israeli army claims that a wanted terrorist was killed in the Khan Yunis attack and suspects he had links to the American organization World Central Kitchen. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that among the victims were three local employees of WCK.
In response to the escalating conflict, a Hamas delegation went to Egypt for ceasefire discussions. Despite mediation efforts by the US, Egypt, and Qatar, the negotiations have yet to yield a permanent solution. The conflict, which began after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, has resulted in thousands of deaths and a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
