After the very long struggle American Congress, Senate specifically, has approved the government funding bill which is now going to land on Joe Biden's desk in the White House.

The bill was during the night and it was really last minute call. The Senate has approved the funding with the voting seventy-four to twenty-four with two Senators being absent during the voting.

We quote Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer after ABC News:

It's been a very long and difficult day but we have just reached an agreement to complete the job of funding the government. It is good for the country that we have reached this bipartisan deal it wasn't easy but tonight our persistence has been worth it (...) It is good for the American people that we have reached an agreement to fund the government tonight.

Chuck Shummer

Although it was the last minute call the government now has all the funding needed for its functioning to the end of the fiscal year. It can take care of crucial segments of its operations like Defense, Homeland Security, Labor, Health and Human Services and Education.

The size of the bill is approximately $1.2 trillion and is now ready for the Joe Biden to sign and who is going to do it on Saturday as the White House spokesperson announced.

The bill had gone through the lower chamber on Friday afternoon with the two-hundred-eighty-six Congressmen voting for and one-hundred-thrity-four voting against.
