From motherhood, obesity and diabetes to inspire fitness: Lisa Dove's remarkable weight loss journey
Upon becoming a mother, Lisa Dove's life took a different trajectory. The demanding task of raising three children and holding down a job left her barely any room for self-care. At the tender age of 35, she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and began an arduous journey with weight gain. By 2021, she was nearing 297 pounds (rounded).

"My life was so hectic, I couldn't find the time to hit the gym or cook a proper meal. It was much more convenient to pop into the drive-thru or grab a pizza, especially given that my occupation was a desk job where I spent 10-12 hours a day. Soon, I started gaining weight," she confessed in a candid interview with "Good Morning America".
Lisa dove into dieting and regular gym workouts
At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lisa Dove realized the urgency of prioritizing her health. She embarked on a crusade against obesity and diabetes, driven by her reliance on medication. She began by taking regular walks, which eventually led to her joining a gym. Here, she engaged with a personal trainer specializing in strength exercises. Lisa also enrolled in a specialized nutrition program.
Lisa shed more than 154 pounds
Due to her incredible resolve, she succeeded in shedding more than 158 pounds (rounded) within a year's time. Now, at 49 years old, she's in the best shape of her life, and her diabetes remains in remission. Lisa Dove shared her inspiring journey with the media.
