Stuffed mushrooms with ground meat
Stuffed mushrooms with ground meat are a timeless favorite to please everyone in the family. This dish is easy to make, rich in flavor, and very satisfying, ideal for lunch and dinner.
Feel free to add other ingredients to the filling, like chopped bell peppers or corn, and season everything you like. For a unique flavor, I suggest incorporating Herbes de Provence and sweet and hot paprika.
Ingredients:
- 17.6 oz large mushrooms,
- 10.6 oz ground meat (pork or beef),
- 1 onion,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1 egg,
- 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs,
- 3 tablespoons of parsley,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- yellow cheese,
- oil for frying.
Preparation:
- Start by thoroughly rinsing the mushrooms and removing the stems. You can leave small mushrooms whole, but larger ones should be cut in half.
- Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil. Then, add garlic minced through a garlic press and sauté briefly.
- Introduce the ground meat to the pan with the onion, seasoning with salt and pepper according to taste. Cook until the meat turns a brown color.
- Mix in the chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, and egg with the meat, combining well.
- Stuff the mushroom caps with the meat mixture.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms in an ovenproof dish.
- Top with grated yellow cheese.
- Bake at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the meat mixture is nicely browned.
Enjoy these warm, savory mushrooms straight from the oven!
